About meI am a Gulf/Caribbean field coordinator and benthic data analyst for NOAA's National Coral Reef Monitoring Program. Previously, I was a 2023 Knauss Fellow working in NOAA's Coral Reef Conservation Program helping to organize the U.S. Coral Reef Task Force. In graduate school, I was a NSF GRFP fellow in the Coral Reef Health and Molecular Ecology Lab at Florida Atlantic University-Harbor Branch Oceanographic Institute where I received my PhD under the mentorship of Dr. Joshua Voss.
I am originally from outside of Washington, DC but became a Floridian when I moved to Miami for college and stayed in the sunshine state for graduate school. Broadly, my research interests include coral reef ecology, population genetics and genomics, mesophotic reefs, and the application of science to effective coral reef management and policy, especially marine protected area and protected resources management. Outside of science I love cooking (read: eating), dancing, reading trashy novels, and playing with dogs. If you'd like to learn more information about my background, please check out the most current version of my C.V. and contact me if you have any further questions! |
